Facilities

Every year, the University takes advantage of the quieter summer months to carry out the more disruptive works which cannot be done during term time. This summer there will be disruptions around Frenchay campus until September.

During this time, journeys may take longer, local signage will show diversions where there are changes to accessible routes, please consider getting support from your course tutor, the Disability Service or the Travel Team.

G Block - The G Block accessible entrance and lift (from the main bus stop area) will be closed until Friday 12 September. Follow the signposting to the nearest lift which is in E Block.

L and K Blocks – Essential works are happening in L and K blocks which involve lift works and replacing external auto doors which will restrict access to and through buildings from the ground floor until Friday 12 September. The 2nd floor aerial walkway between C and L Blocks will remain open. 

Water mains works in the Information Point courtyard (June–July) – All access routes through the InfoPoint courtyard and A and L Blocks to Car Park 19 and B Block will be closed – there will be no disabled bays available outside A Block – starting Monday 9 June estimated finish Friday 11 July.

Q Block – Guttering replacement (Mid-June to Mid-August) – During the works the building will be scaffolded but no flat access/pedestrian routes are affected. Part of the Visitor's Car Park and some of Car Park 15 will be given over to contractor compound.

Transport

A4174 Avon Ring Road improvements include closing the left hand turn onto Coldharbour Lane outside Frenchay Campus. Read full details and sign up for travel updates via the South Gloucestershire Council website.

Also, Frenchay S Block road will be closed on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July.
