IntoUniversity centres provide a friendly, supportive and secure environment for young people aged seven and above to learn, discover and thrive. To develop essential skills and gain exposure to the professional world.

Jacari

Jacari is a charity providing home tutoring for disadvantaged children aged 6 to 16 who don’t speak English as their first language.

Action Tutoring

Action Tutoring supports young people facing socio-economic disadvantages to achieve a meaningful level of academic attainment through the work of volunteer one-to-one tutors.

Literacy Pirates

Literacy Pirates supports children aged 9-12 who are falling behind at school. Their after-school programme helps develop literacy, confidence and perseverance.

  • VOLUNTEERING - Literacy Support Volunteer - virtual

    We take children on voyages as readers and writers, and we’re on the lookout for volunteers to join our virtual Crew. As a Volunteer Crewmate, your role is to join our online sessions and help children practise their reading and writing, 1:2 and in small groups.
  • Volunteering - Safety Tour Guide - Bristol

    As a Guide, you'll lead a group of 3-4 children on a tour of 18 ‘safety themed’ scenarios. With the aid of a script (as well as using props, lighting, and sound effects), you’ll encourage the children to get involved in spotting lots of hazards, in a variety of day-to-day situations.
  • Volunteering - Lifeskills Host - Bristol

    As Host, you’ll meet and greet Year 6 primary school classes and provide a brief introductory talk. After putting the children into their groups, you’ll remain with the teachers/parent helpers whilst the children take their tour.
